Tweter Visuals Top 5 Engagement Sesh Locations

Picking your engagement session location can be STRESSFUL! What type of vibe do you want?! You might be torn between nature and the more urban city vibe. We get it, we really do. We see this from majority of our couples and to help navigate this tough choice we want to break down our absolute favvvv spots to shoot engagement sessions in Saint Louis.

Location 1: For the Adventurous - Garden of the Gods - Herod Illinois

This location is probably my favorite nature flaunting location within a 3 hr drive. Yes 3 hrs, it's not close but it is SO worth it. Garden of the Gods is located in the Shawnee National Forest and boast huge stunning rock formations and cliff sides. The best part, it's so accessible. You will only walk a very short distance from the parking lot before being surrounded by all this gorgeousness!

Location 2: For the Chic & Somewhat Outdoorsy - Forest Park - Saint Louis

This park is loaded with gorgeous scenery. Whether it be the boat dock, the Jewel box, art hill or down by the Muny honestly your choices are endless. You cannot go wrong with this location. It's line with cement walk ways for ladies who want to rock heels easily but still has that gorgeous outdoor esthetic. These photos are from a winter engagement session and look how stunning it is with dead trees and all!

Location 3: For the City Adventurers - Kiener Plaza Parking Garage

This location is also a no fail. The views are amazing. You can see Busch, the Arch and so much more. Pro tip this spot is best for sunset if you want the sun coming through the arch! It's stunning at sunset too you will still get amazing photos.

Location 4: For the Fearless - Elephant Rock - Iron MO

Let me preface this by letting you know hiking is required for this location. It's only a 1 mile loop but definitely bring a second set of shoes for the hike. There are essentially two ways to reach the top view point and one is straight up the rocks with no trail and the other is following the trail which takes a bit longer (about 20 minutes vs 7) I wouldn't recommend the off trail idea unless you are a hiker. This location is stunning, giant boulders on a cliff side. Tons of lush greenery and even a little pond with a cliffside. I love this location!! It's a good 90 minute drive from proper STL but so worth it!

Location 5: Nuclear Waste Adventure Trail - I think the name speaks for itself - Weldon Springs MO

I ADORE this location. The white rocks are very post - apocalyptic in a cool modern way. The sunset view is to die for. There is even a field at the bottom if you wanted simple field vibe too! This is very accessible, the pathway is kind of gravel ish so keep that in mind for heels but it's not a crazy hike by any means.
